It took pretty much all day to glue up the pipes but with Jen's help, I managed to get it done. Then the next day we installed all the spray bodies, rigid risers, and at about 1500, I wired up the valve to test the system. Unfortunately, my memory on which landscape valve numbers were assigned to which area, (there are four,) was a wee bit lacking. That cost us more than an hour to get squared away and as it turns out, I assigned them in the exact opposite order last year when we put in the main irrigation, than I would have today. Sometimer's strikes again but I'll just swap the wires around at the controller to get the order I need.

Anyway, once that was behind us I powered up the zone and believe it or not, no leaks and, my calculations on total volume and pressure were correct and I was able to run 21 heads on this one zone. That's 7 more than any of the lawn zones but many of the heads here have much lower flow rates which made it possible to run so many.

With no leaks it was time to fill in the trenches and that was some moderately back-breaking work but we got that done in about 90 minutes.
